BROCKVILLE, ON – With a month to go before Christmas, Brockville Hyundai and the YMCA of Eastern Ontario are thrilled to partner for Toys for Joy, a community initiative to bring toys to kids in our area. The goal of Toys for Joy is to reach as many families as possible, ensuring no child misses out on the magic of the season.
“We have been running a version of Toys for Joy or our shed raffle since 2018, so we know the generosity of our community and are reaching out to people in our area to make Christmas a happy one for local kids,” said Dane Fellows, general manager and operating partner of Brockville Hyundai. “We also want to give everyone in our community a way to help others to make sure that families receive the toys and food they need. That’s where the Y comes in. They have such a tremendous reach and impact in our region, and our two organizations share many of the same values so, we’re delighted to have them onboard with us this year.”
Brockville Hyundai is seeking not only toys for kids but will also be gathering food donations for families and individuals to make everyone’s holidays happier. New, unwrapped gifts for children aged newborn to 18, and food can be dropped off at Brockville Hyundai, 770 Stewart Blvd. The deadline for drop-offs is December 23 at noon.
“Brockville Hyundai has long been an integral part of giving in our community and the Y is very happy to join in this worthwhile initiative,” said Rob Adams, CEO, YMCA of Eastern Ontario. “So many of us are struggling with the cost-of-living and that struggle gets tougher at this time of year when parents want their children to have a magical Christmas. Let's all come together to make this holiday season brighter for everyone. The only limit to spreading cheer is the number of donations received so lets make this a year to shine!”
