Dear Members,
We are pleased to share an exciting update on a project that reflects our shared commitment to supporting families in our region.
Following our announcement in January, the YMCA of Eastern Ontario, in partnership with the United Counties of Leeds and Grenville and the Town of Gananoque, will open a new child care centre at 400 Stone Street N, Gananoque. This new location will offer licensed child care for 15 toddlers and 24 preschoolers, providing a total of 39 spaces for families in the community.
The former Kinsmen building is currently undergoing renovations to create a safe, welcoming, and enriching environment for young children. Construction is expected to be complete in August, with the centre set to open for care on September 8, 2025.
