COVID-19 Update: Announcement of temporary closure

Kingston and Brockville, ON – The YMCA of Eastern Ontario is announcing that we will close today, March 15, for three weeks in line with the province’s closures. This includes all our facilities, and all childcare and licensed home care spaces in Brockville and area, and Kingston.

March Break camps will not be running.

The decision to close has been made based on developments this weekend of new reported cases of COVID-19 in Eastern Ontario.

“In times of hardship, the YMCA steps up. In this unprecedented time, it is necessary that the Y do so by stepping back and keeping people safe,” said Rob Adams, CEO, YMCA of Eastern Ontario.

Due to the evolving nature of this pandemic, we will be monitoring the situation and continuing to follow the advice of our public health units.
