Brockville & Kingston, ON – The 5th Annual Gord Brown Memorial Golf Tournament proved once again that our region’s generosity knows no bounds.
Thanks to the combined efforts of United Way Leeds & Grenville and the YMCA of Eastern Ontario, along with the support of golfers, sponsors, and volunteers, this year’s tournament raised an impressive $277,000, the highest total in the event’s history.
Proceeds from the tournament, including live and silent auctions, will be invested directly into programs that serve vulnerable individuals and families across our communities.

“This tournament is about more than just a great day of golf, it’s about carrying on Gord’s incredible legacy of giving,” said Hailie Jack, Executive Director of United Way Leeds & Grenville. “The Brown family continues to honour Gord’s vision for a stronger, more compassionate community, and we are proud to work alongside them to ensure local services remain strong for those who need them most.”
The day was made even more special by the appearance of NHL legends Larry Robinson and Moe Robinson, along with Kingston’s own Jay McClement. The trio brought star power to the course — signing memorabilia, chatting with golfers, and posing for countless photos — all while helping to boost fundraising efforts.
Our special guests, Larry, Moe, and Jay brought so much excitement to the tournament, and their participation played a big role in making the day memorable for everyone,” said Rob Adams, CEO of YMCA of Eastern Ontario. “We are deeply grateful to everyone who contributed; our sponsors, golfers, staff, volunteers, boards of directors, and the Brown family for their generous support over the past five years, which has helped make this tournament a tremendous success.”
