Today, on International Women’s Day, we take a moment to shine a light on the dedication, leadership, and impact of the incredible women who strengthen our Y and our communities. Whether you are on the frontlines, leading teams, or working behind the scenes, your contributions are invaluable—and for that, we are deeply grateful.
At the YMCA, we believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to thrive. Equity, inclusion, and belonging are not just words—they are the actions we take to remove barriers and create real, lasting change. Together, we are building a workplace and a community where every person is valued, supported, and empowered to reach their full potential.
While progress has been made, the journey toward true gender equity is ongoing. Each of us has a role to play in challenging barriers, uplifting one another, and ensuring that all voices are heard. Today, as we celebrate, let’s also reflect on how we can continue to create a world where everyone—no matter their gender—has the chance to shine.
