During the past week, I couldn't help but notice so many SUPER things happening around our YMCAs this week. Buildings are full of activity, the staff and volunteers are working extremely hard, we've welcomed new faces to the team, kids in our childcare programs are laughing-out-loud and singing even louder. We even had 138 teens take part in Teen Night!

Some of the items I checked off the list this week included: meetings with the United Way of KLFA President & CEO, finance committee meetings, an interview with local TV regarding our programs and services, and had meetings with Providence Manor regarding a new childcare centre, our senior team, Youth Agency Engagement, and our North Grenville partners. We also had our 2020 operating budget approved at the board level. It's been an action-packed week for us all. Thanks for your efforts.

Next Week’s Schedule and Highlights:

  • Monday – Kingston: one-on-one staff meetings, networking meeting
  • Tuesday – Kingston: meeting with Kingston Police Services, governance committee meeting, new board member interviews, Ongwanada meeting
  • Wednesday – Brockville: Youth Engagement Committee meeting, community consultation meeting on poverty
  • Thursday - Kingston am: Providence Manor meeting/Brockville pm: new board member interviews
  • Friday – Brockville: Connect Youth partnership meeting
  • Saturday – Kingston: Providence Village community consultation meeting

Thanks again for all your efforts, have a great weekend, enjoy your friends and family, and GO CHIEFS GO!!!!
