Dear Members and Friends of the Y,
As we head into summer, I wanted to take a moment to share a few updates from across our YMCA community and thank you for the continued support you show our Y every day.
There’s a great deal of momentum across the organization as we move into one of our busiest and most impactful seasons of the year.
In Brockville, the capital project continues to make exciting progress. The newly renovated change rooms are now complete and have already been very well received by members. At the same time, work on the gymnasium is ramping up, and it’s exciting to see the transformation taking shape for members, families, and the broader community.

I also want to sincerely thank everyone who supported this year’s McHappy Day campaign. Thanks to the generosity of our community and our partners at McDonald’s in Kingston and Gananoque, more than $36,000 was raised in support of our Give the Gift of Camp campaign.

Across our communities, more families are facing financial pressure, and too many children are missing out on experiences that help them grow, connect, and belong. Camp creates opportunities for children to try something new, build confidence, make friends, and simply enjoy being a kid.

As we prepare for camp season, I’m thrilled to share that the Estate of Larry Gibson has once again committed to matching donations to the Give the Gift of Camp campaign, up to $50,000, doubling the impact of every gift made. |
One parent recently shared:
“For my daughter, camp meant belonging. She came home more confident, more independent, and so proud of herself. Without support from the YMCA, camp would not have been possible for our family.”
Because of generous supporters like you, local children will not sit out summer. Your support stays local, helping create opportunities for children and families right here at home.
We’re also looking forward to several exciting community events this summer in support of YMCA programs and services:

Thank you for being part of what makes the YMCA such a special community. Your support continues to strengthen communities and create opportunities across Eastern Ontario.
Wishing you a wonderful start to the summer season.
Warm regards,

Rob Adams
