Dear Friends of the Y,
I am thrilled to share that thanks to your generosity, we’ve reached 100% of our 2025 Inspire the Future campaign goal of $435,000, earlier than we had anticipated! I am extremely grateful for your support and for helping make a real difference in the lives of YMCA participants.
Because of you, individuals and families across Eastern Ontario continue to access programs, services, and safe spaces that support their health, confidence, and potential. Inspiring the future means meeting people where they are today while helping them build brighter, stronger tomorrows and your generosity helps make that possible.
Below is a story from a Y family that illustrates the real impact of the Y in our community.
“The staff are outstanding. The Y was our happy place; then, with the introduction of Karate, it became our home. The feeling of community created by the instructor has changed our lives. I have watched my son transform over the past year, becoming more confident, independent, and outgoing, and growing from a boy to a young man. Karate is an expensive sport, and your support gave us access to a whole new world.
The environment at the Y is consistently welcoming and supportive. The gym trainer provides helpful tips and advice, ensuring a comfortable and safe workout space. The front desk staff is always kind and helpful. The dedication of the entire team is truly exceptional.”
When people feel welcomed and supported, they are better equipped to care for themselves and those around them, another way your generosity helps inspire healthier futures.
I’m truly thankful for your belief in the Y’s mission and your support of the Inspire the Future campaign. Your generosity helps us respond to local needs in meaningful and lasting ways, and while we’re still accepting donations this year, I wanted to take this opportunity to sincerely Thank You for your trust and support.
This holiday season I am looking forward to hosting my extended family and enjoying time together. After a busy year, I’m really looking forward to being together, catching a Senators game or two, and spending a couple of days cross-country skiing with Jean in rural Quebec.
On behalf of everyone at the YMCA of Eastern Ontario, I wish you and your loved ones a joyful holiday season.
Warm Regards,

Rob Adams
