Dear Members:
As you may know, Brockville and area has been moved into yellow zone Covid protocols. This means that the provincial government and public health now requires pre-booking of space before you come to the Y.
This will have the biggest impact in group fit classes where participation will be limited to 10 persons per room. In classes that regularly have more than 15 in attendance, we will add classes. Please check the fitness schedule for class information and locations.
The fitness centre has a larger limit of 50 so, for practical purposes, the new protocols shouldn’t affect your use of this area. Use of the pool should also not be affected.
You are still able to drop in without registering, however, it is possible that you may be turned away if an area has reached the provincial limit.
No matter what area you wish to visit, we recommend registering in advance to hold your spot.
Registration is new for all of us and we may encounter a few technical glitches along the way, requiring patience. Please reach out to our staff for assistance. They will be happy to answer your questions or to assist.
We aim to have registration open at noon on Sunday for access beginning on Monday.
You are able to book up to four days into the future.
How to register?
All members were sent an email approximately three weeks ago with a link to activate your YMCA account. If you don’t have the email, or if you would like guidance with registration, please visit our new registration page.
Kingston YMCA
Kingston region has remained in the green level Covid protocols so, at this time, pre-registration is not required. That would change, should the region move into yellow.
Swimming and karate lessons registration
Registration for these lessons for both Kingston and Brockville are still on track to begin at noon on March 24. You may wish to visit our registration page in advance to review directions on registration.
