Building healthy communities

Rob's Blog Willing Partners

Hello:

As we seem to be entering some more seasonably cooler temperatures, our facilities are starting to feel busier as individuals seek wellness opportunities indoors. While this is a very positive thing, we will maintain our standards, as it relates to enforcing the COVID safety parameters that we've established with public health. At this time, we do not see the need to introduce new regulations but will continue to evaluate collectively as team.

We established some great partnerships recently -- as examples, Fulford Academy, Kingston Rock Volleyball and the City of Kingston. Each are important and welcomed, and helps exhibit our value and relevance in the communities we serve. We have strengthened our reputation as an open and willing partner.

Our Strong Communities Campaign is entering its final stages and we are so close to hitting our goal. Remember, every dollar goes to our charitable mission to serve those who can't afford access to wellness opportunities.

Some highlights this week include a meeting with the City of Brockville, Girls Inc., YMCA Provincial Committee meeting and a homelessness strategy session for Leeds and Grenville.

Next Week's Schedule and Highlights:

Monday - Kingston
Tuesday - Brockville, Senior Team Strategy Retreat
Wednesday - Brockville, Senior Team Strategy Retreat
Thursday - Kingston, Finance Committee, YMCA Peace Reconciliation Presentation
Friday - Offsite, Kingston Youth Homelessness Steering Committee Meeting

Have a restful weekend. For me, this weekend I will be hanging our Christmas lights outside and tagging alongside Declan as he embarks on his annual Christmas-list window-shopping trip. Yes, he's a keener!!
